We have decided to accelerate our Hawaii Plan and will be calling realtors to decide who to list with tomorrow.
It is 41 acres with 30 in forest and 10 in brushy field. There is one acre pond and a spring. Access is off a private gravel road, which comes off a short public gravel road. I have most of an orchard some of which will be starting to produce this year. If it goes to a doomer I'll show them around and point out all the medicinal plants, game trails and such. I am down in Kentucky now and won't be moving back so I think it would be best to sell it along. The forest has been managed for timber for 60+ years and supplying your own trees for a log cabin would be extremely easy. There are lots of grey squirrels, a few fox squirrels, lots of turkey and deer, opossums, raccoons, and so on. I haven't decided quite what to ask for it but under $200,000, unless the market changes suddenly. Any thoughts or interest?
Oh, there is an 8x12 pole building and a 16x16 pole building. The larger building has a Kalamazoo wood burning cookstove in it. If anyone is interested I can leave the stove. If it goes to a non-doomer I'll take the stove out and dig many of the plants as well. no sense wasting them on someone who doesn't value such things.
