One can only have so much isolation.  Here's one for your lover.

Power concedes nothing without a demand.  Frederick Douglass

If we don't defend free speech, how will we know who's an asshole?

Progress is precarious.  MLK

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline - it helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Tina Turner. And yes guilty of the video accompaniment, I was playing with pictures and filters at the time.

Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice.

They hang the man and flog the woman that steal the goose from off the common, but let the greater villain loose, that steal the common from the goose.

Kathleen, I'd have to argue with you there  ;) - I think Dead Kennedys and Black Flag were better, BUT here's my favorite X video:

<object width="800" height="400"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wRWunSUmEm4&fs=1&start="></param> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wRWunSUmEm4&fs=1&start=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="800" height="400" wmode="transparent"></embed></object>
"You had to attack civilians, the people, women, children, innocent people, unknown people far removed from any political game. The reason was quite simple: to force the public to turn to the state to ask for greater security." - Gladio agent Vincenzo Vinciguerra, March 2001

"If you stop still and look at things, the world looks absolutely crazy to you. And it is crazy, by God! From the time you wake up until the moment you go to bed it's all a lie, all a sham and a swindle." - Henry Miller

Okay, I may be partial because X is the only one of those bands that I got to see live in the 80s.....
Black Flag and the Dead Kennedys were pretty good.

If I recall correctly (and my mind is like a steel trap for unnecessary info), byelka is in possession of Henry Rollins' phone number in case she needs him to cut any guy's dick off for her.

All I have is Billy Zoom's guitar pick. I hardly think it is fair.

If we're going with the punk spirit, let's update to modern times.

Drive By Truckers - "Aftermath U.S.A."  Another song with a strong doomer vibe.   ;D

I am stepping politely and delicately past argumentative noobs and cut off dicks.

I think it is really swell you have BZ's guitar pick.  All I have is a fucking chicken beak.

I'm with Bill.  But then I'm always with Bill.  Wait till his wife finds out.

I posted (probably) too many songs from these guys on the old latoc. I saw them in person  this summer in Westport (KCMO) but I really think they deserve some attention. The first song is new. Listen and enjoy, damn you. Very talented and not commercial. Give em a chance, please!
"and a girl like you can forget my name"
The video/song linked on latoc that got me hooked on them...
creepy as hell
and one I just like a lot...crashing through the levy with a mighty rush...

Okay. Trust me. This is good stuff. It is. Listen.
